Re: A view of stars in my Celestia

Hello. I have a problem with the type of view of stars as dots in Celestia. See the picture below. Where is the problem? This is a known bug on Celestia 1.6.x with Intel graphics. The only fix is to use one of the other star render modes ("Fuzzy Points" or "Scaled Disks"), or to...

I've merged your post into the Celestia Origin thread. I don't think there's enough information in your post for anyone to help, could you provide more context?

Re: Celestia 1.7.0 Development Thread

I'm curious what happened with the Bintray releases recently? Can we have newer test releases again? I don't really know which is the latest version currently, there are a bunch of newer exe files in this topic. The builds have failed recently, thats why we haven't had any new releases on Bintray. ...

Re: Where can I find the 2017 release of Celestia161-ED?

I tried to set up Git LFS to upload all the large files to GitHub but it just made a lot of things not work - so it's easier just to upload the Celestia-ED installer to Google Drive... Celestia161-ED-WIN_setup.zip (Edit: since the Motherlode is back up now, I've removed the file from Google Drive to...

Re: Zooming around in Celestia 1.6.2 disabled?

You may be thinking of Celestia-ED, which goes to objects more slowly - this is done using a script. In celestia.cfg, replace InitScript  "start.cel" with InitScript  "slowergo-start-ED.celx".

The conversation went to Discord, turns out the issue was caused by this addon.

Re: Fix for Wolf-Rayet Stars?

WR 1 = HD 4004 is not in the star database that currently comes with Celestia; in Andrew Tribick's updated star database it has spectral type WN4.

Can you give an example of a star that should be a Wolf-Rayet star that's displayed as a red giant?

You may not be able to, since the Motherlode is down and most of the Celestia-ED files are too big for the GitHub archive. I did upload a downsized version of Celestia-ED (without any extras or activities) here.

Re: Solar System Evolution: Development Thread

I did that project, I used about a million every year and this time I had to create and delete objects over time, I also update the texture but I still lack, for example, in the Paleolithic and the future drift age, although there are still problems in the orbit of the objects because in the format...

Thank you! Maybe next time host a website containing those files so I don't have to come here until the files get expired. I'm not sure what you mean by that? You can always download the latest build from Appveyor. Also, why are the names/labels not rendered here? Is this some error or I forgot to ...

Hello, since I've heard that Alexell (the creator of Celestia 1.7.0) has left Celestia and shut down the website hosting Celestia version 1.7.0. I, however, managed to get it before the website shut down, but I don't know where the files were originally named. onetwothree took over Celestia develop...
