Re: Enhanced Celestia (Cel+)

One more ? After 1.7 , 1.6.2, origin, cel+, ... where is the consistency ? To clarify, this is a fan project by Gurren to test out what he can do to tweak Celestia's code and push it to levels never reached before. and take note, he had the blessing of onetwothree to do so. So, there is still consi...

Here are they, coming fresh from the github page. Keep in mind that this is not a complete list of all planned features - i might come across some files which can add or expand on some features i wanted to add. Re: A reminder to protect yourself from the Coronavirus

Well, now I must disagree. Comparision with per year stats I have made sh ows no reasons for panic nor keeping people at home. If there are such a reasons, they are surely not tied to Covid-19 itself. Outdoor activity is one of the best thinks that helps keeping health I know. Thete is something mu...

Re: Enhanced Celestia (Cel+)

Oh, I see. Btw I think stellar classess should be data driven. If Cel+ would implement it, it definitely should be backported to official code. The same with any useful change, fun or not. Well, definitely. It should be compatible with the code. In fact, I did ask Gurren if he could constantly add ...

Re: Enhanced Celestia (Cel+)

Great initiative, but is official repo maintained too bad to contribute there? Why dividing our effort? He actually said that it's a "fan project", in which he will add new spectral classes, both fictional, real and hypothetical, alongside other changes, and he also had the blessing of on...

In light of the papers that Fafers_br presented, I have now changed my vote to Behind. Also, it's pretty much the correct answer anyways

Update: As the world cases keep increasing, it's all the more imperative that you strictly follow whatever quarantine laws your country's governments have given you. Well, congratulations Gurren! I can't wait to see what you have in store for us and for this project

Added after 22 minutes 47 seconds:
Perhaps when you come back again, you may want to list and detail the changes that Enhanced Celestia will have so that we could have a batter understanding of what your project will be

Re: Distance to the Tarantula Nebula

Actually, I don't think we know much about the Nebula to determine its distance and placement. But its known distance is 49 kpc or 160,000 light years away, which is a bit ahead distance from the LMC, since its distance(And I have to assume it's the center) would be around 163,000 light years or 50 ...

Re: Mobile Celestia for Android

Some suggestions though - if you're going to code this for apple, then do make sure that it's compatible for older devices - I have an old phone and don't want to update it. I can install apps from a TV network that I hate so much, yet I can't even get Nickelodeon apps. But back to topic - if this ...

Re: Mobile Celestia for Android

Hello Markerz Well, while using the 2 fingers to zoom-in and zoom-out is good, it actually results in a weird attempt to do so, and users may lose focus of the object when doing that. It happened to me when I was zooming out of an object, and instead of zooming out smoothy, the camera kept moving zi...

Here's a screenshot running Vision's add-on That looks nice! I'm currently downloading it both for BlueStacks and my mobile phone. I'll also test adding Vision's addons to both, though I may have to find a way to add files in BlueStacks But either way, I personally think that Vision would be very f...
