Re: Lua Edu Tools beta version

I did install Windows Vista in a third hdd this night and the strange thing is that the FOV slider actually works in Vista. But not perfect, the center of the slider isn't really centred. It's misplaced way to the left, but I can finally control the slider. Anders, I have good news for you !...

Yep, I'm almost sure; Safari or Firefox just works fine... too bad, Camino is just great... :?

It was great, until the update.. But I must say that Firefox is great.

Re: Lua Edu Tools beta version

As soon as I press the mouse button, without moving the mouse, the FOV will in a few seconds be changed to 4 arc seconds. The nice part is that it does it smothly... Anders, This sounds like describing the correct behaviour of the new FOV slider, except that the zooming should only start when the s...

Re: Problem (maybe) solved...

Now I think I can understand the great number of white screens and the slow perfomace of Celestia 1.5.0 pre3.I simply have defined 2 64K Norma Maps DXT5 for the same texture:BMNG.One Normal Map was inside BMNG and the other was in Extras>Extras. So,Celestia was trying to load 2X64K of Normal maps+64...

I've also modified the FOV slider. Vincent: The new FOV slider have some problems on my XP installation. As soon as I 'grab' the slider with the mouse, it starts to 'zoom' into earth. What Codec did you use?

Hi Selden,
I encoded it with Xvid since that is free...

Here is a great codecpack that let you play almost ANY file format on windows.

Atmospheric bug

I don't know if this is the same bug as everyone has been talking about earlier. I'm using Celestia v1.5.0 pre3 with this 94.24_forceware_winxp_english_whql.exe drivers from nvidia. I grabbed an avi clip and encoded it in xvid. The clip is from Titan with the cloudmap deactivated. www.pamdal.se/vtge...

Re: Mitaka Version 1.0 was released

Celestia should also show the coordinates on screen (Dec, RA and distance from Earth) of any selected object, like what Vincent implemented in his Lua EDU Tools. I think that his coordinates feature (and his compass) should be hard coded in Celestia. The compass is a really great feature. It should...

Re: 1.5.0pre3 bugs

Or not. :( Celestia was having spurts of severe lag, so I uninstalled the drivers, deleted the "c:\nvidia" folder, and re-installed the latest drivers to try to fix it. Now, all of a sudden, I can no longer switch between render modes, so now i'm stuck at "basic" render mode, meaning no more specul...

Pay extra attention to the channel 'New Atlantis'. Very interesting stuff about our environment here on earth... We should really be taking these global warming warnings for real.
