Unpack them into "locale" subdirectory, then move locale/win32/res_XY.dll or locale/x64/res_XY.dll depending on your OS bitness to locale. XY is your language code.

You also added glDrawElements instead of glDrawArrays. What is minimal required change? glEnableVertexAttribArray or glDrawElements or both?

Dimmi72 wrote:there are Nightly Builds of Renderdoc for MacOS, I don't know how reliable they are.

Renderdoc doesn't support GL2.1.

Re: New bugfix release 1.6.2-beta1

Windows users please test different dialogs (eclipse finder, solar system, etc), especially if your locale is chinese or at least non-english.

WARNING: put a new exe file to your 1.6.2 installation folder as it requires translation dll.

Re: Celestia 1.7.0 Development Thread

Meson invocation is "meson srcdir builddir" so it should be:

Code: Select all

cd c:\meson\epoxy
md build
meson . build

Re: I need help with compiling Celestia on Windows 10

You need to download CelestiaContent into "content" subdirectory. Better instead of downloading source code from github use

Code: Select all

git clone https://github.com/CelestiaProject/Celestia.git
cd Celestia
git submodule update --init

to download Celestia with dependencies

It looks like you reimplemented .sci approach to render elliptical galaxies.

Re: Installation on Debian

i have a 100% debian clean build of Celestia the only thing is you have to build it https://github.com/JohnVV/MyCelestiaBuild Your fork doesn't have any new features or bug fixes. I don't see any reason to keep it and moreover recommend it to anybody. now rant over if this goes through you can buil...

Re: Celestia 1.7.0 Development Thread

in virtualtex.cpp is_directory() doesn't receive an empty string, so this is an another issue.

and for me it sounds very strange, because if directory doesn't exist `stat` call should return -1 instead of raising SIGABRT. maybe macos should have some workarounds.

Re: Project "Celestia Origin", release dated April 30, 2020

You need either rebuild Celestia against liblua 5.1 or edit scripts to replace table.getn with #. Simple installation of lua 5.1 binary package is not enough.

Re: Celestia 1.7.0 Development Thread

Big change merged today - native OpenGL ES 2.0+ support. This means we don't need gl4es library for mobile builds anymore, user visible benefit is +10 fps (on my phone). This also means that users of our automated builds for windows should update their shaders subfolder. The first affected build is ...

Re: Spherical Mirror Projection?

Personally I have postponed my attempts to reimplement spherical mirror in 1.7 because our current goal is Celestia on mobiles. When we have this achieved I'll return to that unless somebody else provides a patch.
