Re: Features request

You can do this already using the Bookmarks menu - it won't drop a navbuoy, but it will remember your location. Unfortunately I think it only remember the location in space , not in time. What would be nice is if BMs could be made relative to planets and other bodies, so you'd have the option of go...

..... so I think the nozzle is hidden inside. Although gimballed, it doesn't need to be anything special. Sorry, ignore what I said. The nozzle seems to be in 2 parts, a converging piece that is hidden, then a diverging extension piece that extends beyond the aft skirt. Check out this info; Pdf Doc...

Hello everybody, I still have lot of regular work, so the stack will be released in a few days... Meanwhile, in the few time I can save, I'm making some tiny modifs on the shuttle... - The "NASA" on both side of the shuttle, Bye This "Nasalisation" script logo also applied to the wing on the origin...

Wow, superb !

You've gotta love that head-on shot!

Don't know about the emissive effect - it looks aright as it is.

You haven't managed to do an xyz take-off orbit by any chance ?

Re: Earth with rings:How would it effect humans and animals?

Cheers for the answer maxim. My mathematics understanding is very basic, and the formula, Mass = Volume x Density is about my limit. However, I've tried to apply the figures using the density of water, and have come up with a value for the total mass = 523,583,000,000,000 tonnes. Is this valu...

Slow Forum - In case of Emergency, Here's some Space Trivia!

If the forum becomes slow, and the pages are taking a little too long to load for comfort, then here is a Space Trivia list on Space flight to read while you are waiting.

Enjoy!

Re: Earth with rings:How would it effect humans and animals?

One day, earth will have a thick ring system visible around it (donught shaped), made of all the dead satellites and debris that we are placing in space. :( Yeah, T.E.R.R.I.E.R.S. included. Your view seems a bit bleak though, maybe by the time there is any chance of an artificial ring formation, pe...

Is it once again a case of a favourite question here on the forum....
....What does the human eye actually see compared to an image created by a "camera". ?

Anyway, here's an interesting website.

Excellent work Fridger, The orientation of the galaxies in Celestia seem to match the galaxies in the real pictures very well.....except for I presume the 2 smaller of second pics are not part of those 10000+ as their orientation seems different... ...yes they do seem to stand out. I hope if the cod...

I really need to find a better way of automating this - is the new stars.dat format documented anywhere? P.S. I never heard back from the Motherlode after uploading this several months ago. Well, maybe you could cheat and set the last xyz value to be the landing location. Thanks for the suggestion, but doing that doesn??t really help; i still need to switch the models at the correct time... -rthorvald I'm not entirely sure, but would inserting this "correct time" (along with appropria...
