Re: Shuttle Endeavour
bh Jeam Tag has made a good point about using Endeavour to link up with the ISS instead of Discovery. It has carried out this mission on several occasions (STS 108 from 5-Dec-01 to 17-Dec-01 being one example). Instead you can use Discovery with the Canadarm deployed to launch Ulysses. A simple solu...

How much do you know about the KU Band Antenna, and do you reckon this should be added to the model ?

Re: Scott in the Antarctic
Same here, I've kept Easter Island. I'm making sure I've got all the foreign places I've visited which are mostly on the standard Earth-cities list (which includes Niagara Falls!) and adding other places I've visited from around the world such as Cardiff, CORK and my hometown Huddersfield. Cheers fo...

Re: Shuttle Discovery
Nice work OrbiterFan I've just e-mailed a slightly modified Canadarm to bh, which should allow it to be shown in its stowed or deployed position more easily. When stowed, the whole Canadarm and supports swing in by 15.7 degrees from the vertical, while in deployment the whole unit swings out by 15.7...

Music With Celestia
Hello Everyone I use the video feature in Celestia quite alot, and like to add a musical soundtrack to the movie I've made when I'm editing it, usually something by Jean Michel Jarre - from Oxygene, Equinox and Rendez-vous especially. I guess I'm not being very original though, so I think it would b...

Yep, nice work Frank. I notice on page 30 you may soon want to change this statement... Re: 32k BlueMarble Virtual Earth Texture is now available
After lifting my lower jaw up off the floor, I can eventually say...AWSOME! Thank-you to everyone involved in making a 32k texture available for the likes of me with a fairly low spec computer. I can run this as an alternate texture following my shuttle model at an altitude of arouind 300 km at a wh...

Re: Higher resolution = better performance
Unfortunately for my humble computer, I've not been so lucky :( Using my test settings below, but with my screen display set to 1280x1024x32 instead of my usual 1024x768x32, I fell to 1 fps when in Full screen mode. Then I thought I'd try with a lower res Earth texture which is 4k DDS, but with all ...

Comet Labels
Hope I'm not repeating an earlier post (I've not found anything by searching) , but I can't seem to toggle comet name labels on and off with the [w] key anymore.
Has the shortcut key changed in version 1.3.1.pre 9?

Re: New & Improved NASA logo for model makers...
I see by adding the 10 new NASA logo's to Helios, it's put another 560 kb onto the model size. 1.529 My frame rate is down to just under 6 fps now. Heck! the model needs to come with some sort of Celestia 'health warning'. So much for my attempts to show something flying smoothly within the Earths a...

I don't know how many of you have been following Brasil's efforts to get into space, but they've had yet another major setback.

A great idea, and good use of the alternative textures feature.

I like your additions to the earth grid. Is it too much to ask for you to add the Arctic and Antarctic circles?
