The purple color of orbit our team adds only to SSC.
The blue color of label we did not change and could not change. It is identical to the standard color of big and dwarf planets, which is exactly what I meant.

Re: Dwarf planet label color

I know, but you did choose the dwarf planet orbit color. So what? For convenience, we choose our own color, but did not embed it in the program code. That's too similar to the label color for major planets, and not close enough to the orbit color for dwarf planets. If you haven't chosen a label col...

Re: Dwarf planet label color

SevenSpheres wrote:I'm asking for a label color. If you look at the file render.cpp, you'll see label colors are not exactly the same as orbit colors.
Clear. This file is not included in Origin. We did not create or edit it.

But color of label I know:

Code: Select all

0.298039 0.321569 0.835294
RGB 76 82 213

Re: Project "Celestia Origin", release dated August 30, 2019

Important message for Linux and MacOS users. Try installing the Celestia Origin v.9 on your systems without Wine, using scripts from attachment. Report the OS version and installation results. Than more information, that better. Thank you for any help. The new version does not just delete c...

If so, then this is a much more acute problem.

Sometimes me too annoys that splash cannot be hidden by extraneous windows.

Re: Project Echoes (Celestia Content Rework) - Release 0.1

It's been a decade. I lost my hopes in that regard. I'm considering a new definition is more likely at this point as planetary scientists don't agree with the IAU anyways... My personal approach to such dilemmas comes down to a simple question - "who am I to argue with the world community?&quo...

Probably so. In any case, the emergence of new dwarf planets is only a matter of time.

FarGetaNik wrote:That's the problem. Unless you send a spacecraft to every single object in question and measure its physical properties to prove equilibrium, the IAU wont accept it. At least that's the impression I got.
For Haumea, Makemake and Eris this was not required.

Re: Project Echoes (Celestia Content Rework) - Release 0.1

At this point I'm pretty sure 2007 OR10 will never be reclassified. The IAU has given up on announcing additional dwarf planets. Why do you think so? The fact that IAU did not raise this theme in recent assemblies does not mean that it issue is closed forever. Perhaps there is still insufficient ev...

Re: Project Echoes (Celestia Content Rework) - Release 0.1

In Celestia Origin I always adhere to the official classification. For example, it has long been obvious that the Gonggong (2007 OR10) is a dwarf planet, but so far it has not received status. We have this object listed as an asteroid. However, if the author wanted to emphasize obvious things, this ...

Re: New bugfix release 1.6.2-beta1

I'll be testing it under Windows 7 and maybe Windows 10. Calling this version 1.6.2 seems inappropriate to me since it has significant incompatibilities with v1.6.1. In particular, updating to a newer version of Lua seems to have broken many, perhaps most, of my Addons, both for scripted orbits and...

The tenth release is assigned concrete global and very important tasks that require urgent execution. Maybe I’ll do some of the above, but I can’t promi...
