The poster edited a spam link into it, so I deleted it and banned the poster. Actually the original text was just copied from the OP.

Re: Project "Celestia Origin", release dated April 30, 2021

Which thread? By the way, why can't the evolution of the Solar System beyond the Continental Drift and Dying Solar System features be added? At least the formation of the Moon would be nice. As I said to someone else in another thread: [...] please stop reiterating the same things over and over. [....

Re: Exoplanet Misconceptions

Another misconception of exoplanets is about highly "habitable" planets orbiting red dwarfs [...] I will be adding to the OP including some text on planetary habitability. Now TRES-2 Ab's albedo was said to be anywhere from the 0.0136 (1.36%) value down to as low as 0.0004 (0.04% based on...

Misconceptions about color

G-type stars (like the Sun) visually appear yellow. This isn't exactly about exoplanets, but it's such a common misconception that it has to be addressed here. The Sun, and other G-type stars, are actually white. This should be obvious if you think about it, since sunlight is white. Additionally, i...

Exoplanet Misconceptions

There seem to be several commonly held misconceptions about exoplanets (and related topics). This thread explains why they're wrong. pedro_jg suggested making a topic like this on Discord about a month ago; well, here it is. Work in progress, more entries will be added. HD 100546 b is the largest kn...

Eric Nelson, please stop reiterating the same things over and over in different threads. It's spammy and annoying.

Barnard's Star b was also disputed (in fact in 2021).

Yes, and? This is a list of all addons on the forum, even if they are for disproven objects.

Re: SevenSpheres' Addons

Unfortunately I have had to make some of these addons no longer available to download (specifically, those containing fictional textures made by me) due to a worldbuilding wiki unrelated to Celestia using them without my permission and this being sanctioned by an admin there. Edit, next day: I've ma...

Re: Pictures from Celestia

Well remember since it's part of a circumbinary star system containing 1 F8 main sequence star (which's white) and 1 red dwarf star, the white and red combo lead to a pink reflection. That's not really how it works, look up "blackbody spectrum". That being said, there's certainly nothing ...

Re: List of impossible add-ons

The part is about the star color and V838 Monocerotis appearing magenta which seems surreal (and impossible to some) actually but stars have colors. Sure, it's tangentially related to the topic, but your post wasn't about impossible addons or making stars that glow magenta, it was about making an a...

Re: List of impossible add-ons

I made an addon for V838 Monocerotis as a binary system based on studies. 1 M-type red supergiant and 1 B3-type main sequence star. I even made a custom texture for V838 Monocerotis A from scratch (using paint.net) as many view it (a bright magenta star) and while the glow around it isn't affected,...

Re: Pictures from Celestia

I made an addon of the TOI-1338 planetary system with the base texture being made from Celestia Origin's saturn.dds and sudarsky-class_2.dds texture (thank Art Blos for the Celestia Origin work) and edited the texture color via paint.net and I made a cloud map for it from scratch using paint.net an...

It's the entire addon. Why would it be split up into multiple parts? I'm aware that the name has "Part 3" in it, but if you read the post you'd see that:

Re: Creating a 3D Mars Model from USGS ISIS3 Data

This is not a limitation of Celestia, but of your computer/graphics card. Most(?) graphics systems have a maximum texture size of 8K-16K. You can check your max texture size within Celestia by going to Help -> OpenGL Info.

Re: Solar System Evolution: Development Thread - DEAD PROJECT

It's such a shame that the Solar System evolution addon texture pack was put on hiatus. All we ever get of this is the Continental Drift feature on Celestia Origin. 1. Please stop offtopic. 2. It wasn't put "on hiatus", it was canceled due to lack of interest and constant pestering from a...

you could update this and a another exoplanet addon again because you found more textures in the link below https://caltech.app.box.com/s/zg7wwma1rdhik3o666ve98yzcw4wrwfj You can thank Extrasolarplanets for that. you are missing so many new spacecraft addons like perseverance (from you) Yes, I only ever added links to spacecraft addons with their own threads.
