Re: Best Solar System Planet Textures and/or Models?

I would definitely recommend FarGetaNik's Project Echoes, like above.

Re: CelestialMatters News

It's not like the fall of celestialmatters had an impact on celestia.sci development anyway.

Quick note. The surface details in the gif are completely fictional. The only thing that is real on the image are the bright white spots.

Re: habitable zone

Even this is not accurate - your habitable zone goes from 373 to 273 K (100 to 0 C), when in reality it goes from 275 to 175 K (0 to -100 C).
This way Earth is on the very inner edge and Mars is somewhat near the middle, which is correct.

Re: habitable zone

I agree with jujuapapa - Earth is actually on the inner edge of the habitable zone, not on the outer edge.

Re: SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!!!

Pluto, the motherlode went down a few weeks ago which is why it is not accessible.

Also, please avoid necromancing (posting on old posts) on this forum. This post is 9 years old - there's no need to post a reply 9 years later.

Re: New CelWP project revival

How to fix the loading error:

Rename the folder CelWP Release 1-8 --> CelWP Release 08
Rename the folder CelWP Release 9 --> CelWP Release 09

Color gradients like the D65 Spectrum are shown to be better approximations of true blackbody colors than a Vega-relative spectrum... For example here's the approximate color of Vega on a D65 gradient, where you can see Vega is clearly a blue color.

in space g-type stars are not yellow there white
so that texture needs fixing

Celestia's textures are massively darkened anyway - if it was darkened to that degree then the sun would in fact look yellowish.

Astra's Asteroid Models

Astra's Asteroid Models I am not the creator of these models. I only modified them a little bit for Celestia. The original creator is Astra/Snowfall . Additional thanks to LukeCEL for helping convert the cmod files to binary (this was done to reduce the file size). Low-Poly Set Currently not finish...

Re: fyr02's Addons

I say there are two planets in the habitable zone not becuase I think they would actually be in the habitable zone, but because the media likes to portray it that way and I don't want to make anybody mad.

Planet d is still unconfirmed in the update and planet i is from Gaia astrometry.
