Re: How to properly credit images of planets for commercial use

I'm afraid that the most textures of planets and asteroids used in <= 1.6.1 are not for commercial usage. Maybe only the Blue Marble can be used.

Re: How to properly credit images of planets for commercial use

Basically it's ok, but not all images used by Celestia allows commercial usage, actually a lot of them doesn't have a licence information.

It will be a "Normal star with unknown parameters", dunno about texture, I'm too lazy to check the source code.

Indeed, stellar classes are hardcoded

No, cel scripting is very simple and performs actions one by one.

Hmm, I have misunderstood you. Actually Qt version should work at least they work in GNU/Linux, I'll try to check what's wrong.

I've checked both native and qt versions under wine and fading orbits are working.

I don't get what's your problem, you have a cone, exactly as in 1.6.1.

You have a cone on the Earth. John's test modes are simple, without colors or anything else. But they are visible.

Re: Celestia 1.7.0 Development Thread

This regression is fixed as well. But Celestia has another bug with such objects - you have your dyson sphere around the Sun, you select the Sun and go to it and you don't see it. 1.6.1 has this bug too.

On the other hand - maybe your one2.cmod just have an outer sphere?

It's one of reasons why we what to change how catalogues are handled.

For your particular task you can use STC files instead.

Re: Celestia 1.7.0 Development Thread

Visible parent bodies are OK, but I use a lot of invisible barycenters to build multiple star systems. I hope it cannot be a problem! This change affects only surface features. Nothing else. Where can we download a windows version to test? It's not built yet, I want to wait a bit to gather feedback...
