Re: Red planet around double star - help !

Hi, TY Selden for this explanation. I cancelled the option "lights night' and the texture appeared... but a new problem also ! 20190818 PB Planet3_System1.jpg All the planet is in darkness at 360°... All cancelled anothers options are without effect. I have anothers planetary system...

Red planet around double star - help !

Hi, I created two planetary systems around a double star system. Around first star (at left on picture and secondary in priority) all is OK. 20190817 PB Planet3_System2.jpg But around second star (at left on picture and primary in priority) the texture of the planet is red ! 20190817 PB Planet3_Syst...

Re: fyr02's Fictional System

After testing the given data, I found : 1. for the star kessea_pb.jpg => too small, not enough light ! 2. for the inhabited planet kessea_argolea_pb.jpg => too cold ! Conclusion : it's NOT possible, just try to be coherent even for a fictional system ! :fie: @fyr02 => try to update the AppMag (examp...

Re: Extrasolar, Stars and Exoplanets for Celestia

False, all things that you said are hypothetical without real numbers to proove… :fie: Venus is like now because there is a warming climate by its atmospher which turns quicker than the day. Venus is closer our sun brighter than a M2.7V star (lum=0.00285xSun) . All closed exoplanets around typ...

Re: Extrasolar, Stars and Exoplanets for Celestia

False, you try to compare carots with tomatoes. :fie: Venus turns on itself in 243 d (for a revolution of 225 d). Venus is closer of its star (G2V) than K2-72e (K2V). Venus has a hot atmospher at ~460°C with big pression 9.3 10e6 Pa and composed by CO2 (96.5%). Finally, Venus is unhabited. Must I go...

Re: Extrasolar, Stars and Exoplanets for Celestia

Example of a map of a synchron planet.

example.jpg

We see the three diferent parts of the planet :
1. the cooler (iced water)
2. the medium (liquid water)
3. the hotter (no water)

After you must place well the rotation and direction to have Always the same lighted side.

Re: fyr02's Fictional System

Hi,

Nice look !

Where is this sytem ?

If the star has spectral type equal to K2V (less bright than our sun) and the inhabited planet in fourth position, the planets are closer, right ?
What are the distances from the star for each planet ?
