Re: Project "Celestia Origin", release dated August 30, 2018

I'm not a professional, but I think that among them the first telescope (Celestron NexStar 6 SE) is the best solution. I have got Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope too but from another manufacturer. A very convenient closed system with a huge optical zoom. In addition to the stars will be well visible Mo...

Re: Project "Celestia Origin", release dated August 30, 2018

There's a problem with this: Voyager 2 wasn't there to take true color images of the moons it flew by. Many of the color images it took were not actually true color (just look at Voyager 2's pictures of the Saturnian moons and compare them with Cassini's images, and you'll see the difference right ...

I prepared a texture and model of asteroid Ryugu for Hayabusa-2

The source of the map is here. I improved it a little.
A simple 3D model was made by me.

Re: Project "Celestia Origin", release dated December 30, 2017

For the lack of an absolute reference and highly individual color channels and surface structures that change for each texture, it took me much effort to get close to a consistent result. Yes, this is a big problem. These textures are not real colors, but are close to them. I was based on photos wi...
