Re: Spacecrafts for Celestia

To complete the DaveBowman2001 Mariner series: Mariner 3 and Mariner 4 were identical but unfortunately Mariner 3 had a problem at launch and could not reach Mars. The satellite has entered heliocentric orbit with Periapsis 0.983 AU and Apoapsis 1.311 AU, and must still be there. Orbital data is no ...

Re: Spacecrafts for Celestia

Thank you Toutatis for this 3D model of the first French satellite launched autonomously by a Diamant rocket. The satellite's name, Asterix, comes from a comic book character, a little Gallic with fantastic strength who fought the Roman invaders of Julius Caesard. What is funny is that it was Toutat...

Re: Project "Celestia Origin", release dated April 30, 2021

The underscore character is automatically replaced with spaces in addsBox.lua and ViDiBaBox.lua when reading tables from config.lua. If you see underscores in the ViDiBa window, then there is probably a failure that is not related to the translator. Please show screenshots. I don't see underscore a...

Re: Project "Celestia Origin", release dated April 30, 2021

In Celestia Origin, Vidiba's lua tables have names with the character '_' (underscore), both the file name and the table name. the underscore character is not recognized by the translator of LUT (see even that of LET). The fr.lua en.lua etc ... modules are not translated.

Re: Spacecrafts for Celestia

As I explained a few days ago, I noticed that the parameter of 'Center' in 'TwoVector' must be the first name of the defined object. In this function the second name and the following ones are not recognized (bug?) unlike 'Observe'. In this context, I had to modify all the ssc files that I had redon...

Today I was checking Starlink addons. in the ssc scripts of the various Starlink launches, the use of the 3rd name in some instructions does not work. In these places you have to use the first name. "name 1:name 2:name 3" "Sol / Earth" Center "Sol/Earth/name 3" re...

Here is the orbital data for Starlink-1118, found with the Celestrak (Norad) archives. You can embed this code in DaveBowman2021's 'Starlink constellation 3 (L2) .ssc' file. As the end of use date is 20-04-2020, there is an Ending instruction that you can deactivate by #Ending "Starlink-1118:20...
