well i stuck in a "maprange" node before the "color ramp" node to keep all the values in the positive

basically i am subtracting two noise sources from each other

a rust version would be nice , looking at the code ( dot net) it looks like it will be a pain in the rear end to compile on linux or apple

there was a very very old EXPORT only plugin for Blender 2.49b

however there is a DOT NET 5 ( C# ) microsoft only ( maybe linux with wine but i have not tried it ) , cmod to obj program

here is a 8 bit copy of the 32 bit float displacement map for wild 2

std multi res blender bake using the older 2.7
( in 2.92 you have to use the camera and it dose not work on spherical objects)

i have a normal map but i did not save the original height map when i moved everything to a new computer

mostly it is a hand painted map but some shape from shade was incorporated

there are not many images with enough shading to do to much

i have a rather good " Shape from shade" program but it is LINUX ONLY
there are no windows or mac binaries

but it might build from source using MinGW on Windows

that and ISIS3 is what i used for that example you posted

trappistplanets I embed the two textures in the cmod , so there is no need to add them to the ssc file and this is an odd bug "." in the name should not cause problems and cmodview and celestia use the same base code for rendering ,so there "should" not be a difference Regarding ...
