Re: clicking a emptey part of space randomly crashes celestia
My Celestia crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME I click anywhere in space. Specifically, galaxies, nebulae, or stars. Every time.

Tegmine, have you made any extra progress on this since the last post?

Re: Clicking certain stars or deep space objects causes 1.7.0 to crash
Clicking certain stars or deep space objects causes 1.7.0 to crash Could you narrow "certain stars or deep space objects"? What object to click to reproduce? Additionally, Celestia does not recognize my Intel HD 4400's OpenGL abilities: Try to update your graphic drivers. Celestia simply ...

Re: Vision's Addons
Posting here for posterity.
I did not make the original sprite models. Cham made them using Wolfram Alpha, iirc. I had absolutely zero hand in the creation of these models.
Hope this helps.

Re: Current project: Modified Stargen (a solar system generator)
Apparently I'm a forgetful old fart now... 9_9 Does anyone remember *exactly* how to output stargen ssc directly to an .ssc file? It keeps flooding my command prompt with uselessly un-copypasta-able code instead >_< Edit: Finally found it after extensive googling: https://celestia.space/forum/viewto...

Re: Hypothetical Bodies
There's also a series of hypothetical "Uranian" planets beyond Pluto: Cupido Hades Zeus Kronos Apollon Admetos Vulcanus (Not to be confused with Vulcan the intra-Mercurial) Poseidon The Textures I used for my prehistory timeline are also low resolution, at 1024x512 unfortunately. Good to k...

Re: Hypothetical Bodies
I have 1.6.1 still installed, but mainly use it when porting my old Celestia mods to Space Engine, or to look up a historical planetary positions. I dont know if the newer ones still have it, but I really like the ability to go 2 Gy forward or backwards in time. I know I made a historical continenta...

Re: Planet b around proxima centauri !
They wont appear because motherlode addons require approval, so they needed to be reviewed by the admins so they could decide whether or not to post it, and since no one there is active, they will never be decided on unless an admin comes back and revives it :/

I do have my own image album from Space Engine on imgur, although I haven't updated it in a few months.

After reading your post and skimming the article on sig figs, I definitely need to relearn sig figs and scientific notation.

Re: Collecting all Celestia add-on site links?
Yeah copyright violations, if I recall correctly. I know the DMCA (?) cracks down on such much harder these days, even more so now since the olden days of shatters.net. I also remember that earlier this year CBS put forth much stricter rules about Trek fan fiction, although I don't remember if that ...
